If you’ve been saying you want to “get into fitness” but don’t want to commit to a gym membership just yet… this is your sign.
Right in the heart of Atlanta, there’s a growing wave of free community workout events that are actually fun, beginner-friendly, and perfect for resetting your routine and one of the best places doing it? Midtown Alliance.
🧘♀️ Tuesday Reset: Free Yoga at 10th Street Park
Every Tuesday, you can step into a full-body reset with Yoga Flow at 10th Street Park, in collaboration with Evolation Yoga Atlanta.
This isn’t one of those intimidating yoga classes where you feel out of place. It’s designed for everyone—whether you’ve never touched a yoga mat or you’ve been practicing for years.
What to expect:
A guided flow connecting movement + breath
Focus on flexibility, strength, and balance
New poses and transitions each week (so you don’t get bored)
Elements of breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness
By the end, you’ll feel lighter, clearer, and honestly… a little more put together.
What to bring:
Your own yoga mat
Water bottle
Good energy (seriously, the vibe matters)
Location: Corner of Peachtree & 10th Street (10th Street Park) 12 mins from the spa
Important: You must RSVP to reserve your spot.
💃 Thursdays: Turn Up Your Energy with Cardio Dance
If Tuesday is your reset, Thursday is your release.
Midtown’s Cardio Dance class is where fitness meets fun. Led by AFAA-certified instructor Dawn Peck, this class blends:
Zumba
Hip-Hop
Afrobeats
Reggae
Reggaeton
It’s high-energy, beginner-friendly, and honestly feels more like a dance session than a workout.
What to expect:
No equipment needed
Supportive, inclusive environment
Music that keeps you moving the entire time
After class, you can stick around for complimentary snacks and time to connect with others.
On April 23, they’re hosting a special Michael Jackson–themed class (“King of Pop”)—plus free popsicles after 🍦
Important: You must RSVP to reserve your spot.
🚗 Getting There
One of the best parts about these events? They’re super accessible.
The plaza is at the corner of West Peachtree St and Ponce de Leon Ave and is on top of the North Avenue MARTA station, so MARTA is a great way to get to the event. (9 mins from the spa)
MARTA access: The cardio class is directly above the station, making public transit the easiest option
Free parking: Available at All Saints Church (first come, first served)
Additional parking: Street parking and nearby paid lots
Note: Some dates may have limited parking, so plan ahead.
Why These Events Matter
These aren’t just workouts—they’re experiences.
They give you:
Consistency without commitment
Community without pressure
Wellness without the cost
And in a city like Atlanta, where life moves fast, having a space to pause, move your body, and reconnect is something people are starting to prioritize more than ever.
You don’t need to wait for a “perfect time” to start your wellness journey.
It can look like:
Showing up to a yoga class on a random Tuesday
Dancing your stress away on a Thursday evening
Meeting people who are also trying to become better versions of themselves
Simple. Consistent. Real. And the best part? You can start this week
